thefiddler 0ed1e8b6d8 [Win] Log wglSwapIntervalEXT errors
Note that we cannot use Marshal.GetLastWin32Error because we are not
using regular DllImports for WGL extensions.

thefiddler 3da459b316 [All] Fixed checks for EXT_swap_control_tear
EGL and NSOpenGL do not offer an EXT_swap_control_tear equivalent so
use regular vsync for now. The relevant extension string is now
correctly checked on WGL and GLX.

Stefanos A. d8a4ca1162 Cleaned up temporary context construction
The temporary context is now retained until the actual context has been
constructed. If we don't do this, then WGL_ARB_create_context may fail
to work correctly on specific GPUs (e.g. Intel). This may affect issue
#19.

Stefanos A. 44b8a9dbdc Use gdi32 implementations of functions
Several functions are defined in both gdi32 and opengl32. Using the
opengl32/wgl versions did not appear to help with issue #19. Let's use
the gdi32 version instead, as suggested here:

Stefanos A. dd31b41f08 Load opengl32.dll before gdi32.dll
According to
http://stackoverflow.com/questions/199016/wglcreatecontext-in-c-sharp-failing-but-not-in-managed-c,
opengl32.dll must be loaded before gdi32.dll. Affect issue #19.

Since we are dynamically loading opengl32.dll, we are supposed to use
the wgl version of functions that exist in both opengl32 and gdi32 dlls.

Stefanos A. 0a39143b3e Removed unused WGL methods
WGL was autogenerated a few years ago but never touched after that.
Since we use a tiny fraction of all available methods, it makes sense to
remove the unused ones. This reduces dll size and improves startup
times.

Stefanos A. e65f206554 Fixed core loading on Windows
On Windows, entry points for OpenGL 1.0 and 1.1 are not exposed by
wglGetProcAddress. We fall back to LoadLibrary+GetProcAddress when
wglProcAddress fails.

Stefanos A. 0ee72856e4 Added workaround for wglMakeCurrent error 6
On some drivers and virtual machines, wglMakeCurrent may fail with a
code 6 when first called. The suggested workaround is to call it in a
loop until it succeeds. See

Stefanos A 95316829ec Updated WGL init sequence
WinGraphicsMode no longer creates a temporary context in order to create
the list of available modes. Instead, it requires to be passed an
existing context in its constructor.

WinGLContext now creates one temporary context in its static constructor
and hands that to WinGraphicsMode.

WinFactory no longer supports the CreateGraphicsMode API. This API will
be removed in the future, because the link because contexts and modes
cannot be separated in the general case.

the_fiddler 045d3d73f6 Removed unimplement SetPixelFormatARB - no such function exists.
Added aggressive locking during context creation and delegate loading in order to avoid potential race conditions.
Now uses Wgl.Imports directly wherever possible in order to improve performance and avoid race conditions.
Slightly improved debugging messages.

the_fiddler 2d4b962d2c Renamed internal BindingsBase.LoadAll/Load methods to LoadEntryPoints/LoadEntryPoint, in order to avoid name clashes with the static GL.LoadAll() method.
Added GraphicsContext() constructor that takes an existing, valid OpenGL context. This can be used for interop with third-party toolkits which create the OpenGL context themselves.

the_fiddler 0e02f67749 Moved OpenTK.Graphics.GL class to the OpenTK.Graphics.OpenGL namespace (reason: necessary for OpenGL|ES support; necessary for support of different OpenGL profiles). OpenTK.Graphics.GL has been moved to the OpenTK.Compatibility library.
Removed OpenTK.Graphics.Glu class (reason: deprecated upstream; most functionality provided by OpenTK math; not compatible with OpenGL 3.0+.) OpenTK.Graphics.Glu can be accessed through OpenTK.Compatibility.
Added OpenGL|ES-specific ErrorHelper classes.
Moved OpenTK.Graphics.DisplayDevice and OpenTK.Graphics.DisplayResolution to the root OpenTK namespace (reason: their functionality is not specific and does not depend on OpenTK.Graphics).
Split Graphics*Exception classes into different files.

Improved CreateDummyContext logic to detect and use the context handle of the current thread or a specified handle.
Removed GetCurrentContext() methods from platform-specific context implementations (everything now goes through the relevant IPlatformFactories).

the_fiddler 820e2af20e Made ContextHandle a struct to reduce GC pressure (ContextHandles are created per frame).
Added xml documentation for the ContextHandle.
Made the casts between ContextHandles and IntPtrs explicit.
Updated all ContextHandle consumers to reflect the explicit cast.
